Krishna reveals Himself in Bhagavad Gita

By :
Kyle Weatherwax, Mineral Wells, TX

I read all the books on Buddhist philosophy and I was not satisfied. As I read Bhagavad Gita As It Is, Krishna began to reveal Himself to me and the realizations were so deep. The information of Bhagavad Gita totally made Buddhist literature seem weak. Besides reading Bhagavad Gita, I decided to chant one round of Hare Krishna Maha-mantra. By doing these two things I had a spiritual experience, this is something I will never forget, something that has changed my life forever.

I found a Bhagavad Gita As It Is in a used bookstore, as soon as I saw it I purchased it immediately, I was already familiar with Srila Prabhupada’s books by reading BTG (Back to Godhead Magazine).

Supreme Knowledge

By :

I got Bhagavad Gita As It is from the Vedic resources. I learned it is Divine instruction for the battlefield of one’s life to serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead. My favorite verse is in chapter 9, “This knowledge of Bhagavad Gita is king of education, the secret of all secrets”.

One can become God conscious by chanting Hare Krishna Mahamantra

I would love to have a copy of the Gita. I have read half of the Gita, and I feel like a starving man with his half-eaten meal taken away. The Bhagavad-gita expands upon things of Islam and it even sheds light on things that my soul was always in agreement with ever since I was a little boy.

Human life is meant for worshiping Krishna

I am reaching a higher spiritual platform as I have increased my chanting to two hours each day. The chanting relaxes me and allows me to express devotion to Krishna. I am very happy that I have found perfection of all religion. The essence and total foundation of all religion is to be found in Krishna consciousness. Krishna consciousness uplifts humanity and generates true peace for everyone that becomes a part of it.

I found peace and joy in Krishna Consciousness

By :
G.S. ,Salem, Oregon

I was strung out on different chemicals, thinking it was the way to cope with life and it would bring peace and joy, but I found out that it only gave me peace and happiness on a temporary level. The more I used, the more I wanted. I was never satisfied. I tried booze, sleeping around, partying and doing risky behavior. I found out that I was happy on the outside, but deep down in my inner soul something was missing.

I wish I could have met Srila Prabhupada

By :

I am chanting 16 rounds daily now; I follow regulative principles given by Srila Prabhupada. As of May 11, 2008, I am back in the general prison population and trying to spread Krishna consciousness to other inmates whenever possible. I am trying for a prison job, to be able to buy Prabhupada's books to fill the chapel library here.

Srila Prabhupada's books give knowledge and detachment:

Prabhupada's books and my chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra have helped me on the path of self-realization by realizing the method of being attached to the Supreme Being, Krishna. Prabhupada has helped me to realize that principles of knowledge and detachment are two important factors on the path of this subtle transcendental path Back to Godhead.

Srila Prabhupada's books give me ever new fresh nectar

Maya has a strong grip on the prison population. I try my best to stay focused on Shri Shri Radha Shyam; chanting the holy names really helps out; just from chanting I know that I am getting purified. Through the mercy of Srila Prabhupada I was pulled out of bondage that I thought was life.
